A Processing Entity (PE) is an organisation such as a trade body, that provides settlement and other services for transaction undertaken between its buyer and seller members.
Travel Ledger currently operates two PE Schemes, ABTA and Advantage. To view the public holiday schedules for each scheme, please click the following link:

On a day-to-day basis a Processing Entity will mainly be responsible for governing members access as well as monitoring and resolving key issues related to the settlement of transactions.
A Process Entity's tasks in Travel Ledger are as follows:
Ensuring that Commercial Links exist between Sellers and Buyers
Ensuring there is a Payment Scheme
Ensure that there are business terms and settlement schedules in place
For example, when the system is first set up, or new members are onboarded, the PE will create an invite to the platform, assign the appropriate commercial links and associated configuration to enable transactions to take place between the partners.
