Testing with Travel Ledger

Testing your files with Travel Ledger in our Sandbox Environment

For new Sellers registering with Travel Ledger, we offer the opportunity to test your file upload format in our Sandbox environment. This is a great way to check your file format is is viable and familiarise yourself with the platform, prior to going live.

Below are the steps required to setup and test in Sandbox:

Registering in Sandbox

If you would like to trial your Seller file in Sandbox, please contact your Travel Ledger account manager or email the support desk (support@travelledger.org) and request a registration link for Sandbox. the following basic information is required:

  1. Company name

  2. Main ID (ABTA, IATA, TIDS or other internal ID)

  3. Company address

  4. Name and email of the registering user

Once we have this information, one of the Travel Ledger team will generate an email invite to the sandbox platform which will be sent to the registering use provided. You will need to follow the registration steps to set up your login.

Commercial links are the trading relationship, in Travel ledger, between your company and your partnering companies. In the live environment you will have access to a wide range of commercial partners, however in Sandbox we limit the testing to 4-5 test partners who we have set up in this environment.

If you have any partners you would like to test with we can check to see if they are available in Sandbox, please advise your account manager/support contact. Where available we can configure these Commercial Links for you. If unavailable we will provide 4-5 Commercial Links and the IDs of these test Buyers with you.

Formatting your File for Sandbox

We recommend that all Companies test with our Extended File Format and also utilise this in live. The extended file format allows you to share much more data with your Buyers, reducing the number of queried transactions and providing enhanced data for your back office. We have full details on the benefits of the file and how to format it in the Extended File Format (Full Version) page.

If you have any queries about the formatting or would like any advice/quality checking, please contact account manager/support contact who will be happy to provide further guidance.

Uploading your file in Sandbox

Once you are happy with your file, you can upload it into Sandbox, we have three different means of submitting your file, two automated (sFTP and email) and one manual. Guidance on the methods can be found below:

Upload ManuallyUpload by Data Delivery Methods

The links above should provide the detail needed to upload your test files into Sandbox. I fyou have any further questions, please contact account manager/support contact who will be happy to provide further guidance.
