# Managing Commercial Links

Commercial Links (CLs) can be managed under Partners>Commercial Links. This is a useful area to check on if you have a CL in place with a partner, its status and applicable rules.

### Editing a Commercial Link

PEs can edit exiting CLs by clicking on Partners>Commercial Links, checking the tick box of the CL they wish to edit and then selecting the 'edit' button:

The CL can be edited with a change to the Buyer or Seller,  updated mandate ID and changing the payment terms. It is important to note that this is where a CL can also be changed to and from 'Pending' and 'Live' statuses as through the method detailed below.

### CL Status

PEs have the ability to change the status of existing Commercial Links, including setting to live and suspending through several different statuses. 

This is managed through Partners>Commercial Links, by clicking on 'update status'. The PE user can change the status of the Commercial Link:

The statuses function as below:

**'Live'** - A CL exists and is active between two partners, this status is available to update by the PE

**'Pending'** - a CL exists but is inactive between two partners. This status is available to update by the PE.

**'Suspended'** - temporary disablement which can only be undertaken by the CL owner. A Suspended CL can be reinstated (back to Live), again only by the CL owner, or permanently disabled

 **'Archived'** - Permanent disablement - which can only be undertaken by the CL owner. An Archived CL cannot be re-instated, archiving is a one time action with no return. An Archived CL can however be copied.
