There are 3 different types of notifications delivered by the Travel Ledger platform:

  • Warning - information about a process/task that has run successfully but failed to produce the expected result and you might need to look into it. For example, an empty data export file; the export ran successfully but there was no data, it could be the correct outcome because there was no data available but the user may want to check.

  • Alert - information about failing processes that requires action. For example, failed collections/disbursements, transaction file processing failures or payment method validation failure

  • Message - delivers information that doesn't require user action. For example, confirmations of file imports and exports, successful collections and disbursements.

A full list of the notifications that are presented in the platform are available to view under the .

Notifications are provided to the PE (where relevant), Buyers and Sellers throughout the booking loading, buyer review period and settlement cycle. Below are some examples of the categories of notifications sent and who might receive them:

Notifications can be delivered through the platform and/or by email, see the page for more information on how to configure delivery methods.

By default, notifications are configured across all modules so you will receive 'Alerts' by email and in the platform. To review or amend the default settings, see the page.

When new notifications have been generated in the system, an information icon with the number of new messages is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. By clicking on the bell icon or 'Notifications' in the main menu, you will be directed to the notifications page:

Users are able to filter, read and dismiss their messages.

Filters can be applied by date, type, the relevant module and the message subject. Additionally, users can sort the columns by clicking on the column header, adjust the column width to better suit their display and amend the number of rows visible per page.

To read messages, you will need to expand the width of the Message column as this is where the full message is displayed. Alternatively, users can elect the 'Export' button to extract either selected or all items to an Excel spreadsheet.

To dismiss messages once they have been read or if a user deems the irrelevant, you will need to either select messages individually by clicking in to the tick boxes or you can select all by clicking into the top tick box next to the column headers. Once your chosen messages to dismiss are selected, click on the 'Dismiss Selected Notifications' button at the bottom of the page.
