Instead of manually uploading files into Travel Ledger files can be uploaded via FTP or email delivery.
The data delivery configuration and the log of past deliveries (both manual and via automated data delivery methods) can be found in Settings > Data Delivery.
Note: The data delivery file upload uses the same file format as the manual upload. It is suitable for both the standard and extended file formats.
The following settings are available when you configure your data delivery options:
Only commit fully matched files – This checkbox controls both FTP and email delivery, it is selected as default. When it is selected, and a fully matching file has been submitted to Travel Ledger the file will be processed.
When it is selected, and a non-matching file has been submitted to Travel Ledger the file will not be processed, a record for unsuccessful upload will be added to the Data Delivery log table and a notification email will be sent advising of the failure.
When the checkbox is not selected only the matching records from the upload will be processed by Travel Ledger and the user will receive a message with the non-matching records and the status of the upload record will be displayed as Partially Submitted.
Note: any failed transactions can be manually reviewed within the manual import area of the platform, Transactions > import file.
Enable secure FTP – when this option is enabled the Travel Ledger platform will be set up to process file uploads through the FTP connection defined in the settings.
When setting up an automated sFTP delivery task please use the credentials in Settings => Data Delivery => Connection details, and point the delivery to the data/delivery folder on the sFTP server.
Support for setting up FTP can be found in the next page: FTP Setup Guide
Enable email delivery – when this option is enabled the platform will be set up to process file deliveries for the account to the listed data delivery email address.
Note: Only emails received from email addresses associated with Admin users of the submitting company, or email addresses registered via the email submission section of the page will be processed.
The Data delivery log is displayed at the bottom of the Data Delivery page, for more information on reviewing data delivery take a look at Reviewing Data Delivery.
