Step by Step Guide

Step One: TL Pay Start Page
  1. If you don't have an active e-wallet, please log into the Travel Ledger platform and select 'TL Pay Account' from the main menu

  2. Click on Start Application

Step Two: Terms and Conditions

To proceed with your application you will be presented with two sets of Terms & Conditions:

  1. : Select the checkbox at the bottom of the page to accept and click 'Continue'.

  2. : NIUM are our partner providing the banking service powering TL Pay. Select the checkbox at the bottom of the page to accept and click 'Continue'.

Step Three: Corporate Details

Please enter your company registration number here (you must enter the leading '0s' of your company number e.g. 00123456). This will initiate a search in the Companies House database and populate some of the information needed in the following sections of this form.

  • If the displayed Region, Country, and Company values are correct, click 'Continue'

  • If you cannot provide a company registration number and have selected the "tick this checkbox" option, click 'Continue.' You will then need to manually fill in all the details in the form.

Step Four: Region

Please note the system will automatically select the region based on the country of registration listed in your company account on Travel Ledger. If the region displayed in the form is incorrect, please verify the country listed under Settings -> Companies & Users.

Step Five: Business Details

If your company registration number check is successful, some fields in this section will auto-populate. Please verify their accuracy and provide any missing details.

Document Details:

  • Document requirements can be found on the previous region-specific application pages, based on your company type.

Legal Registration Details:

  • Please provide the registration date and country of registration.

Registered Address:

  • Please provide your registered company address and confirm if it is the same as your business address.

Stakeholders

  • Please double-check and complete any missing information for both individual and corporate stakeholders.

Note: The requirements of this section can become slightly complicated, so please ensure you have referred to the following pages based on your region:

UK Application (KYB/KYC) or EU Application (KYC/KYB)

Step Six: Applicant Details

The applicant is the person submitting the form. Please provide the applicant's information in this section and upload the following supporting documents:

Proof of Identity (POI):

  • Scanned or photographed passport photo page

Proof of Address (POA):

  • Scanned or photographed driver's license (both sides)

  • Scanned or photographed utility bill, bank statement, or payslip with a date within the last 90 days

Letter of Authorisation or Power of Attorney:

  • This is required if the applicant's position is not a Director, UBO, Partner, or Trustee.

Step Seven: Additional Business Information

You will need to provide the following information that apply to your business:

Step Eight: Submission

After completing all sections, please review the provided information for accuracy. Once confirmed, proceed to submit your application:

  1. Click 'Submit Application.'

  2. Confirm your submission in the pop-up.

  1. Be patient if you see a loading circle; it's connecting to our banking partner.

  1. If you aren't redirected to the next page, please look for red section markers, which could suggest missing mandatory details or incorrectly formatted information.

  1. Adjust your information as needed in response to these confirmations and then submit your application again.

Final Step: Know your Customer (KYC)

After you've submitted your application, you'll receive a link to the final step, which involves verifying the applicant's identity.

  1. The link will direct you to our service provider's page, Onfido. There, you'll upload photos of your proof of identity document and take a live selfie using your mobile device.

  1. After you've finished all the steps on your mobile device, you'll receive a notification on your computer, allowing you to submit the verification.

  1. When you click 'Submit Verification,' you will be directed to Travel Ledger's website, where you will see the following page

RFI (Request-For-Information)

After submitting your form and completing KYC verification, NIUM (wallet provider) conducts internal verification. This can lead to approval or requests for more information.

Requests for additional information are either automated and appear on the TL Pay Account page on Travel Ledger, or they're sent to your email (feature in progress).

To complete automated RFIs:

  1. Find the requests on the TL Pay Account page.

  2. You'll receive in-platform and email notifications (feature in progress).

  3. Upload required files and select document type from the dropdown.

  4. Click 'Submit' for a success message.
