How to fund and manage your Adyen Account Virtual Cards
Funding Virtual Cards
Funds are only required when the supplier charges the card, not when the card is issued. This reduces pre-funding and improves cashflow control.
Funds are managed in a centralised pot for all issued cards. Your card 'exposure' (charges due vs amount of funds in your account) are displayed in the virtual card dashboard:
Any required funds must be provided in your account prior to any charges, specifically your Adyen Virtual Card account, not your standard TL Pay.
Single-use cards: fund the exact amount (plus optional tolerance).
Multi-use cards: fund up to the total card limit.
It is also possible to keep a 'float' balance in the account to cater for fast turnaround of card payments, for example paying low cost carriers.
Funding details can be found in your TL Pay> Virtual Cards Dashboard. by hovering over the 'bank building' icon, the funding account details are displayed and can be copied:
It is mandatory to fund your card from the bank account you used during your application, no other account can be used.
