Editing Virtual Cards

You can edit certain details on a virtual card after it has been created. This allows you to update the card to reflect changes to the booking or payment requirements.


Steps to edit a virtual card

Only users with the appropriate card permissions can edit virtual cards.

Common scenarios include:

  • Booking value has increased

  • A supplier needs more time to take payment

  • You want to update the reference for reconciliation

Depending on how the card has been used, you can update:

  • Card name / reference

  • Spend limit (increase or decrease)

  • Expiry date

  • Description (if used for internal reconciliation)

⚠️ If transactions have already been taken on the card, some fields may be restricted.

1. Go to TL Pay

Open:

TL Pay → Virtual Cards


2. Select the card

Click on the virtual card you want to edit to open the card details.


3. Click Edit

Choose the Edit option.


4. Update the required fields

Make the necessary changes, for example:

  • Increase the value to match a booking amendment

  • Extend the expiry date


5. Save changes

Click Save to apply the updates.

💡 Increasing the spend limit allows additional payments to be taken on the same card.

⚠️ You cannot reduce the limit below the amount that has already been authorised or captured.

⚠️ Once a card has expired, it cannot be edited.
